IGNOU PGDRD Admission 2025-26: Indira Gandhi National Open University started admission for the Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development for the July 2025 session. The last date of applying for the PGDRD is July 15, 2025.

The eligibility requirement for pursuing IGNOU’s 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development is that the candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. And the total course fee for PGDRD is INR 3,500 with the INR 300 registration fee and INR 200 for development fee.

Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development is a 1 year recognized diploma program offered by IGNOU’s School of Continuing Education (SOCE). This program covers areas like  rural society, rural economy, policies, and implementation mechanisms etc.

IGNOU PGDRD Eligibility Criteria 

For pursuing IGNOU Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development course (PGDRD), students need to meet the following eligibility criteria: 

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. 
• Students must obtain a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in bachelor’s degree. 
• There is no age limit, both young graduates and experienced professionals can apply for the PGDRD course.

IGNOU Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development program has a total fee of INR 2,400 and a non refundable registration fee of INR 300. There is fee exemption available for SC/ST candidates as per IGNOU rules and government norms.
