IGNOU MA Environmental Studies Admission 2025-26: Admissions for IGNOU MA course in Environmental studies have started and the last date is 15th July, 2025. MA in Environmental studies is a 2 year Post graduate course for students to realise their role in environment protection. The medium of the course is English and it comes under the School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-Disciplinary studies in IGNOU. The course fee is INR 6500/-  per year .

During the course, you learn various subjects such as Environmental Pollution, control and Management, Sustainable Natural Resource Management and strategies for sustainable Development. Minimum Qualification: To take admission in IGNOU for Master of Arts in Environmental Studies, one should have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. 

Minimum Percentage: Graduates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the bachelor’s degree.

IGNOU MA Environmental Studies Syllabus 

MA in Environmental Studies is a 2 year course, which is divided into 4 semesters. Each year has 2 semesters and you get to learn new subjects every semester. There are exams at the end of each semester which test your knowledge on those subjects. 

IGNOU MA Environmental Studies Fees

The course code for this course is MAEVS. The fees for this course is INR 6500/- per year that is to be paid along with registration fee INR 300/– and Development fees that is around INR 200/-. All of these fees are non-refundable and are to be paid at the time of admission. You also have to pay re-registration fee while re–registering for the second year in IGNOU for this course. So, the total tuition fee for the 2 year course is INR 13,000/- and other charges as mentioned above.

To apply for admission in IGNOU for Master of Arts in Environmental Science is as follows:

STEP 1: Visit ignou.ac.in and go to the admission section on the screen. Click on the mode you want to continue the program in. It will guide you to a different page.

STEP 2: A samarth website will open, Create a new account with your email and mobile number which are active. Register for MAEVS Program. 

STEP 3: Login again with those details and fill the application form with correct information. You’ll be required to fill your personal, academic and family information. 

STEP 4: Upload the Scanned copies of the required documents as per the size and format instructions given by IGNOU. 

STEP 5: It will show a summary and ask you to complete the payment. Double check the Information as if incorrect, your application can be cancelled. 

STEP 6: Click on make payment and you can pay through UPI/Credit/Debit Card as per your choice. 

STEP 7: Download the Acknowledgement slip for future reference.
